A Young Person’s Guide to Book Collecting

Many people buy books, but not all are book-collectors. As an experienced book collector, Chris will explain how to navigate the transition from book-buyer to book-collector. Advice from experts and professionals he received more than 50 years ago will be reconsidered in today’s environment. The presentation will be illustrated by books he acquired and experiences that were encountered in his navigation of the book world, together with ideas on what, where, how, why, when and from whom to buy.
This event will run from 5:00-5:45pm followed by 15 minute refreshment break
