Diaries, journals and sketchbooks have always been the mainstay of the creative process. Join artist and writer EV Ratnam as she reads excerpts from John Steinbeck’s Journal of a Novel, and then discusses how her own diary entries became the basis for essays and works of fiction. The session will provide an opportunity to view EV Ratnam’s artist sketchbooks, as well as a journal she kept in the lead-up to one of her solo exhibitions.
