Exhibition curators present an in-depth encounter with German Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) and the material culture of his home city of Nuremberg. With over eighty items from the University’s Special Collections alongside loans from State Library Victoria, exhibits include a leaf from the Gutenberg Bible, Dürer’s Melencolia engraving, and some of the most important books and prints of this period, including the famous 1493 Nuremberg Chronicle and Dürer’s own Treatise on Measurement.
