A behind the scenes tour of State Library Victoria’s Conservation Laboratory

The repair of fragile and damaged books, documents, and artwork is a highly skilled and little – seen part of the State Library’s work to ensure that the State Collection remains available to all Victorians. Join paper conservator Marika Kocsis and book conservator Katrina Ben for this behind–the–scenes tour of the Library’s Conservation Lab. Participants will have the opportunity to view the specialist facilities where this highly technical work is carried out, meet our expert conservators, and see a diverse range of conservation projects in progress.
There will be two sessions offered: 2:00 – 3:00pm and 3:00 – 4:00pm
