<p>From Aphra Behn to Mary Shelley, women have had to fight to overcome many barriers to publication placed in their paths by life, society, their family and by men. Chris will relate stories of these talented and enterprising pioneers using examples of their books from his extensive collection of 18th and 19th century literature to illustrate his presentation.</p>

The Johnston Collection is a multi award-winning and critically acclaimed museum that invites creatives from the broader visual arts and design communities to re-interpret the Collection through a regular program of re-installation and interventions of the permanent collection.
