Speaker: Cameron Borg
The Footscray Mechanics’ Institute Inc. was founded in 1859 and the current library collection has been housed in a heritage building in Footscray since 1913. Cameron Borg, the FMI librarian, is happy to display some rarities from its collection of 20,000 titles and discuss the background and connections to these books. Many of the books are popular literature from an era that is rarely represented in today’s public lending library collections.
